Rallys here too -- I have a few Bulang & Sons in various colours and always come back to these. Super comfortable and just seem to work well with the watch, though the FOIS manages that Speedy trick of looking great whatever it wears...

Just re-purchased the FOIS and realized that it’s a super early number (#152)!!! Decided on an OEM nato. Also put a spiralwinder clear case back to help lower the height because of the nato strap 😀.

Congrats again 2nd time around. I'm guessing you were missing it after you sold it the first time. Lots of nice bracelet options you have too. My #125xx says "Hi" while doing the school pick up run...

Yes lol I totally missed owning it hahaha. I had made a pretty good return$ for the one I sold a couple years ago. I saw this one on sale for almost the price I had bought my original and I couldn't pass it up lol. I had kept all the straps for my previous FOIS so it was a win win kinda situation 😀. I've done this twice in my watch journey. The other watch was the original Seiko MM300. I guess that's how you really come to find out what timepieces really connect with you 😀.

What bracelet r u sporting?? Watch looks great!

Thank you. The bracelet is a Forstner flat link (classic fit).

Looks great -- and congrats on the re-purchase. Mine is still among my all-time faves and is going nowhere. I recently borrowed my mate's 3861 Sandwich, and while it's a superb watch and a def improvement in some ways, I still prefer the FOIS overall. It has real charm and presence and is far more dynamic IMO.

I will certainly give the Spiralwinder a try at some point. The FOIS's thickness doesn't bother me (my other main chrono is the 17mm Sinn 206 Ar) but I like the idea of a NATO + visible movement, even if it ain't fancy,

I also have that MM300. Absolute classic. Mine has clocked nearly 40 dives and still going strong!

How funny u mention that! The MM300 is the only watch I use in the ocean as well lol (Even though I also own a Submariner). MM300 is bulletproof haha. Waiting on a Crafter Blue strap as we speak. I also have a pretty cool mod for my FOIS that should be finished by the end of the week (I'll post once its done!).

A bit late to the party, but last week I ordered my first Omega, and await delivery of a second hand FOiS. Advertised as 2010 (which I know it couldn’t be) it has no paperwork to evidence the age. The edition number is 1288x, which my best guess from just reading 40 odd pages of this thread, places it late 2019 or early 2020.

Is there a definitive reference using the edition number or serial number to identify how old this FOiSs might be? I assume that Omega’s warranty is 5 years? If needed, is there a way to make a warranty claim without original paperwork?

I’ll post some pics when it arrives. Plans are for a set of white, more legible hands, possibly a DON bezel insert, and probably a bracelet.

The watch has arrived and I’m very pleased that it includes the warranty and pictograms cards, and also an STS card recording a recent service.
The edition number 1288x was originally purchased October 2020.

Added a new Sienna Horween strap to my FOIS. Has a bit of the look of the OEM FOIS strap, yet the straps texture adds some fun.

Curious why you replaced the dial.
My guess would be the old style Omega Logo.

I actually find the FOIS glossy inky black dial very attractive, except the modern logo.
