There's an imminent update for Forstner Flat link, a new thicker version. Wait a few weeks.
Congratulations!

Great! I did get the Forstner Flat link and found it was just too thin for my liking. If they do make a thicker version, I’m sold. The US1450 I have on it is great and would recommend but I’m looking for something that is reminiscent of the time period and vintage style of the 1960s plus both polished/brushed links to match with the FOIS.

They announced 1450 polished/brushed version as well. But I'm not sure about the result.

I would appreciate posting your FOIS not only with number as close to 16.000 as possible but the smallest number too. Is anyone here having watch numbered below 1.000 or even below 500?

Some of the first posters in this thread, which started in 2012, obviously had pretty low numbers. Don't think there have been any over 16,000.

New owner checking in! #15,1xx

My first Speedmaster after lusting after one for 10+ years and I'm obsessed. Currently wearing it on the Forstner flatlink and awaiting arrival of a Kizzi velcro strap that was ordered a few days ago.

Welcome to the club and nice pic! I've looked at those Kizzi straps a few times and never quite been moved to pull the trigger, so looking forward to your impressions.

I do... mine is an early 800 number. I bought my FOIS in 2014.

P.S: long time lurker, first time poster. Excited to join the forum.

I'm also guessing Omega rounded up to 16000 units, but only Omega would know. (and will not communicate the number maybe to avoid a crazy pricing on #16000 ?)

I went into the Omega Boutique this weekend and saw a FOIS that they ordered for some guy but apparently the deal fell through. Anyway, now I own #12,999. Hehe. I also ordered the “old timey” speedmaster bracelet (I didn’t know what it was called). Anyway, they didn’t have one but its on order.

I always liked the look of the straight lugs better and I love the size better too. I also like that it has a sapphire crystal (ya, I know the argument against)... but the closest I’ll ever get to space wearing this awesome watch will be three flights of stairs up to my office.

Anyway, this is the speedmaster I’ve always limed best. So happy to have it.
