Hello, my first post here. I just joined this forum yesterday after purchasing my very first Omega; the FIOS. Joining Omega Forum was the most logical thing to do. Will be posting my watch pics and number to be a part of the community. Watch is on the way. Very excited! Cheers.

good choice! and Congrats! - I’d change straps or switch to bracelet as much as you wish but dont change its original FOIS configuration! ;)

I was hoping to get a 1125/560 and wear interchangeably. But that is the extent of it really. I am too new to this expensive hobby to mess around with anything else :)

Any leads for said bracelet and end link will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

I'm with @alam myself. Too much of a newbie to go modding. Also I love my FOIS as is, not to mention I'll not be voiding my two year warranty.

Still, I might go crazy and experiment with starps and bracelets.

EDIT - I've looked into starps and apparently they don't exist. After a long chat with my AD I understand the correct term is ''strap". As in, "Watch Strap". Happy to share that knowledge with you guys. Hope it helps others.

Well modded or not is still an FOIS . Am mod friendly and as such very happy with the way it is! (Not my creation but loving it!) ;)

I came across this post while doing months of research on getting my first watch.

It ultimately came down to FOIS, the new Aqua Terra 41mm in blue, and Grand Seiko Snowflake. And you know what? Here is No. 8513 checking in!

I couldn't be happier with the FOIS being my first proper watch ever and I can see myself wearing it for years and still admiring the beauty of it! ::bleh::

And I already have my next strap in mind! (Hodinkee Aged Moss Green Leather)

By the way, does anyone know where is the best place to get a 19mm deployment clasp (OEM is fine too)? Everywhere I checked seem to have 18mm or 20mm clsap only.

    Thanks!

    Congrats Kay!

Think there are no 19 mm Omega clasps. Would suggest you a 18 mm clasp as most 20 and 19 mm bands tapper to 18 mm at the clasp side

Congrats, mine is on the way and will know my number soon enough. Just wanted to say that Hodinkee strap would look gorgeous!

Congratulations! I have mine on that exact same strap and have only ever worn it on that strap. Strap is amazing and it's a great combo.

    Nice!!

How easy was changing the strap? I vaguely remember reading somewhere that says the FOIS is not very easy to change strap and would require a spring bar plier tool with two forks instead of a standard spring bar tool?

Changing straps on the FOIS is as easy as in any other speedmaster with a regular spring bar tool (like a Bergeon 6767). What people might be referring is to changing a 20 mm leather strap, as those being bigger / compress to fit the 19 mm lugs becomes a little harder to install and remove

Kudos my dude. Wear it well. That's the highest number I've seen reported. Are there any +10k posted yet?

Im wearing mine a week now, and I'm thrilled with it.

Thanks and I hope you wear yours in good health as well. Just got mine on the wrist, really in love at the moment. Will probably wear a bit before I start thinking about straps/bracelet etc.

I think someone mentioned they have seen number cross 10k. I am not sure though.
