Why is it that every time i fall for a watch, there is something that annoys me.. 😵‍💫 One of my favourite divers 2254, with its crown design constantly diggs into my wrist.. Now solved that problem with the FOIS, i thought.. yet there is something esle..

Am i the only one that gets the skin imprints from this damn caseback? And i wear the bracelet really loose, you can even see multiple "rings" from the watch wondering on my wrist.
Why couldnt Omega just keep the caseback design flat..
It seems the only way for me to enjoy this watch is on a Nato... such a pita..
sorry for my rant! 😒

Sorry to hear. I've seen a few complaints here and there, though most people seem to be fine. I haven't noticed it myself, despite wearing it tight with a leather and nato strap. Seems to really depend on the individual and how sensitive the wrists are.

Yeah Nato is surely a way to go, but i dont want to wear it only the Nato.
I was even considering filing the edge down ::stirthepot::

I wear mine on a leather strap and I get a nice hippocampus imprint on my wrist after wearing for a few hours. I actually find it kind of endearing.

Or just change the case back to something that won't mark your arm. 145.022 case back should fit. Or cheapest option is probably an aftermarket display case back

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing discomfort, and it's something I was worried about when I bought mine, enough that I spoke to the AD about having the back edges smoothed out if need be (they offered to do so at no charge).

In the event, mine doesn't seem to have the sharp edge, and is comfortable on strap or bracelet, even when cinched tight. I definitely think you can have this issue addressed, and assure continued wearing comfort. FWIW, it does seem to be restricted to certain watches, so perhaps you can look into having the case hack swapped, though they might be less willing to do so for a numbered edition.

Good luck!

Actually my edge was very sharp at the beginning and my AD also offered to soften the edge and was done free of charge. So the caseback doesnt scratch the skin anymore. However the standing out ring design is the problem. I had the same problem with the coaxial Diver 300m, which had a simmilar ring.

That was me, with mistaken number. 15241 instead. I have just corrected that post.

Ha. Didn't even notice that it was the same post author. Yours is higher. Mine is 1520X.

So in total, looks like around 15500 (rounding up) units in about 9 years of production unless there are more floating out there waiting to be sold.

I think that's about right, although I'd guess 16,000 because it makes for nice round numbers all the way down the line (2k made each year, given 8 years of production, though it may have run longer. I guess we'll find out more as the last few trickle into the marketplace.

Released in 2012 through 2020 so 9 years unless there were no actual watches produced in 2012. You know how Omega is with their release of new watches.

Got my forstner link today through Ace Jewelers. Btw, they seem to be back in stock through Forstner UK, too. I love the bracelet on the FOIS. Really complements it well with the polished and brushed finish. I can finally say that I'm 100% happy with my purchase as the non-support of official bracelets from Omega was kind of disappointing. Anyways, I can really recommend the bracelet to anyone interested. Gives the watch a totally different vibe.
Regarding the bracelet:
- The endlinks are a perfect fit.
- The bracelet is light. Rattles a bit and thus has this vintage feeling. Not comparable at all with solid modern bracelets. But I honestly like the minimal weight and vintage feel.
- The clasp feels cheap. Has been mentioned elsewhere so I'm not shocked. But hopefully this will be improved if they ever decide to update the design.
- The screwing mechanism for the links is a fυcking pain in the arse. Sure, it's probably safer and more sturdy then pushpins. But this is a 150$ bracelet and I don't expect the bracelet to outlive me. So I'd have appreciated a way easier design to adjust the length.
- The clasp is a bit too long and the underside sometimes sticks out while wearing. Not a big issue but might trigger someone's OCD.
