#4695 checking in. This FOIS is sooo handsome, it fits my casual-formal style really well. It just begs for darker tone leather strap. Can't stop staring at it..

I initially agreed about the need for a darker strap, even a black strap. But with time and aging of the strap I began to appreciate the Omega supplied brown strap. Be patient.......

My next watch. Have tried the Pro several times but prefer the size, lugs and handset of the FOIS. Harder to find than the Pro in Canada though. Have tried several ADs, and yet to find one in stock.

Good luck and hoping you get one. I bought and flipped two Speedmaster Pros before the FOIS came out. It’s everything I always wanted from the Speedmaster, and in MHO, one of the best special editions Omega has done.

Thank you — have broadened the search, so here’s hoping!

So I’m off to the OB in Cambridge tomorrow (Mappin & Webb) to do the FOIS/Pro comparison - I’m really leaning towards the FOIS from all your pictures and have read every thread possible and researched the sh*t out of them. It’s the first step towards a purchase, a small one but one until I’ve saved up the funds - perhaps I should buy a house first or even spend money on a wedding - priorities?! When it happens I’ll make sure I share it on this thread (watch, not house or wedding), exciting times...!

Good luck. No matter how much research you do you won't know anything until you handle them and try them on.

Scapa, where in Canada? If you are in southern Ontario then you can visit the Omega boutique in the Detroit Michigan area.

Thanks for the suggestion — I’m out west but in TO pretty regularly for business so will try to scoot over on one of those trips if I can’t source one elsewhere.

I also chose FOIS over Pro (had Pro before FOIS) and the next will be vintage (68-69).
Have some nice straps from TwoStitchStraps.
The bracelet is 1125/617 and every FOIS owner should try one.
It's great.

Just got my FOIS yesterday (Tuesday). Previous owner of two Pro 42mm over the years. Had my eyes on the FOIS for a long time. After trying it on yesterday, it just felt like it belongs on my wrist. I plan to keep it on this brown calfskin strap, and watch it gain patina. Even though my 7.25in wrist can take just about any size watch comfortably (my largest watch is a Panerai Luminor 47mm), I think this is the ideal Speedmaster size. I do have the 60th Anniversary Trilogy Speedmaster as well, slightly smaller at 38.6mm and a different history, and different aesthetic. So I think this FOIS will be a great addition to my collection. Cheers, Carl

Beautiful watch and pic — the differences between the timing and chrono handsets are so striking in the lune shot, as is the precision of each set.

I’ve finally located and ordered one, hoping to join the club soon.

White baton hands. Went Ed White overall.
Cheers, are these difficult to source? Thinking of replacing the hands on mine....
