My FOIS. Just after a strap change. Using the Nomos brown velour. And another next to the anthracite grey strap

Coincidence! I've literally just finished fitting an identical Nomos brown velour strap seconds before reading this post. Although it's for my Vapaus Veli rather than the FOIS, but I guess I could try it.

I actually put the grey on the watch this morning. I think it looked better. Can post pictures after work. the Nomos straps are great, and come in 19mm so its a good fit for the FOIS

Not OEM, though on an OEM 16mm brushed Omega tang buckle. It's a 19x16 rubberized Kevlar strap bought off of a fairly well known Canadian outfit's website that sells straps for Omega, IWC and Panerai principally. This is actually the "IWC" model. I really like it and I ordered a black buffalo grain as well. Not sure if forum rules prohibit me from naming a non-forum sponsor. I'll PM you. Here's a better shot from the side:

Hey all, I'm having difficulty finding the answer to this question: what, if any AR coating is on the FOIS crystal? I see no bluish hue when looking at lights reflecting on the crystal of my FOIS, so I assume it has no coating unless there is a bit on the underside of the crystal. Thanks!

Looks crystal clear to me so I assume there is no AR coating.

Must have AR if it says so on official website. I can't see the usual blue tinge I see on other watches I have with AR.

I even went to the product website! I must have overlooked it. In any event, it must be a mild coating.

I believe they changed the blue hue almost 10 years ago.... @Archer might chime in on that.

Full description:

062SL5005 | GLASS SAPPHIRE AG1S MET D34.2 H4.65

The "AG1S" is Anti-Glare 1 Side, and when it says that it's always on the inside. AG2S would be both sides.

Can't recall how long ago it was, but yes Omega used to have a more tinted AR coating and now it's pretty much colourless.

Cheers, Al
