When the Omega FOIS was launched in 2015, the price was around 5.300 USD. Today you can buy the watch for around 3.500. What happened? Did Omega reduce the price to move the watches?
#640X - Happy to finally have it As I am a Newbie I have to figure out which tools I need to replace the brown strap and think about a black leather strap and a kevlar strap
Welcome to the ranks! No experience with kevlar, but I can attest that a black strap looks great on the FOIS!
MSRP is still $5300 USD in USA but as said above some people can get them at about $3k through some AD's; imagine should be overseas due to a weaker currency versus USD
A lot of new FOIS incoming - very cool - community is growing Thanks for all the nice pics of your watches, to be continued ...!
Going to Amsterdam/Berlin in the next few weeks, what are the chances I can find the FOIS for $3k USD? What prices should I expect while in Europe?
You won't be lucky. Smallest grey market price is about 3,5k USD. I don't know a single consumer good which is less expensive in EUR than in the US. What makes you believe this watch should be below $3k in EUR? Benjamin
Thanks for the update. I saw Ace Jewlers in Amsterdam is selling for about $3,700. Anything beats the Omega price of $5,300 though.
This seller in Europe (trustworthy, had purchased from him before) has a new one with full Omega warranty for $3300: https://omegaforums.net/threads/bni...mega-in-space-311-32-40-30-01-001-fois.53050/
