England very fortunate.
DRC. were excellent.
I’m afraid, if they continue to perform like that they will get creamed by one of the better teams.

You mean a team like Croatia?
No, I was thinking about France (in particular) Brazil, or Spain.
Although, on that outing, England’s defence will be vulnerable to any team in the last 16.
(I’m certainly worried about England playing Mexico at altitude in the next round)

England very fortunate
to have Harry Kane.

Agreed on both accounts.

Normal subtitles are included in the standard package but you definitely need the premium subscription for Scouse to English translation.
😉
Anyone outside Glasgow de-coded Pat Nevin's (radio) co-commentary yet?

VAR strikes again. If they need to look so long then it’s not clear and obvious to justify overturning call of field. IMO.

What a hard fought game. Happy 250th Birthday USA! Belgium will be very difficult especially without their star striker.

Yeah, great win for being down a man. The free kick was struck perfectly. Balogun being out is going to be tough but this is the best the US has ever looked as a team.

Epic game tonight in Toronto.
Down to last offside review which disallowed potential tying goal at last moments
Ronaldo and Modric did not disappoint!

Now that we are in the knockout rounds, the teams are actually trying to score!

Wow, didn't think Cape Verde v Argentina would turn out like that, the second CV goal is goal of the tournament imho.

The underdogs vs giants have been some of the best games so far. Argentina vs Cape Verde. DR Congo vs England. Some amazing football being served up.

No doubt. Hats off to Cape Verde. The bigger tournament has brought some really exciting unexpected games.

The population of Cape Verde is just over 500,000.

They will probably all be at the airport when the team lands.

I'm far from objective since they knocked us out in the round of 32, but I've now lost respect for Paraguay. Playing haram ball is one thing, but they've now resorted to playing dirty against France. Not cool. This ref has also been borderline absent with respect to calling fouls. And Galarza should have seen a red card for his shenanigans.

Canadas run is over. By all accounts a good one with firsts and a big win in knockout stage. And with an injury- depleted squad.

Today they started well and could’ve scored early but didn’t, and in 2nd half Morocco showed their quality and moved on.

The top teams show patience and find the way in the end, so many games ended with late scores by stronger sides.

No shame in losing to Morocco. They are a top tier team.

Paraguay were a disgrace, but unsurprising. France a class act. Referee was bribed or threatened - no ref is that ignorant.
