Ferrari is blowing it again. As soon as Max pitted for new tires, they should have done the same with Leclerc. And then when Leclerc crashed out and Sainz was ready to get a podium, they brought him in for an unneeded tire change. Binotto is a disaster...and has been every year he's led Ferrari. The only way to a Ferrari championship this year is for Mercedes and Red Bull to withdraw from the season.

Binotto is a good engineer but terrible team principal. He's just not cut out for the top spot.

Not surprised, but still kind of sad. He's been "my guy" since I got into F1 in 2009, right when he made the move to Red Bull.
Aside from Kimi, he's also responsible for one of my favorite quotes: "When did I do dangerous driving then?"
Not sure why, but that one always makes me LOL when I think about it.
Plus I always say it when my wife starts giving me shit for my driving when shes in the car.

That crash in Germany was the start of his downfall. He really fell apart after that.

I'm definitely going to miss him when he's gone.

Yeah I remember that race and thinking just...wow, he doesn't have it anymore.
Not that his skill was suddenly gone, but rather his confidence and overall mind state.
I think Ferrari broke him. And I'm hoping they don't do the same to Charles.

This morning George was at 25/1 for the win, so I was considering laying a tenner on him. Odds now 10/3 -- arrrgggh! Oh well let's have good race out there.

In 1992 I went to the Hungarian GP when there was only one dirt track to the main entrance, the public transport way in was to take a local train to the nearest station and walk 2km across the fields.

Lol, Ferrari. Lewis has really turned it on the past 4 or 5 races.

I'll bet Leclerk and Sainz are not speechless!

Nope. There will be quite a lot of speech by them later on, I believe. 😁

The Summer break could not come at a better time for Ferrari. They need to step back and take top down look at their in race strategy tools and process. In the Constructors Championship, they need to be concerned about Mercedes catching up as the gap has narrowed to 30 points.

Congratulations to Max on a good drive from 10th on the grid to the top step of the podium.

Absolutely. It will allow them to go an entire month without throwing away a podium finish!
