Michael Masi is officially gone from the FIA.
Might be a hot take, but as controversial as the Abu Dhabi 2021 was, Michael Masi was nothing but a scapegoat. He's not blameless but the F1/FIA are also to blame for what happened there.

Charlie Whiting and Bernie Ecclestone built the Race Director role from the ground up. With Whiting's untimely passing and without any transition to Masi, Masi was doomed to fail from the beginning. They should've broken up Whiting's archaic Race Director roles into smaller roles before Masi stepped in.

Anyway, hope he can finally escape the death threats and get some peace back.

100% problems isnt to blame director. Most of problems are stupidity inside FIA and how they are not solving anything.

Apparently, the Italian police have found the thieves of Charles Leclerc's watch. A Spanish investor had bought the Richard Mille RM 67-02 for 200.000 Euros.

Yea so that means he knew it was stolen, hope he’s out his 200k as a lowlife tax and gets a receiving stolen property charge.

Ferrari first row today? To bad about that engine isnt fully reliable as need to be. I hope they dont need to do anything else for this week. Sainz droping 10 places is enough

Hate to see where Mercedes would be if they didn’t have improvements. .9 seconds is quite a ways back.

I am unsure how Ferrari can win it... from last 2 days, they are "eating" tyres. I hope something will be different tomorrow.

To bad for MSC today, he had that lap but I am unsure could be in fight for last 10. tomorrow it will be hard to be in points.

God hates Ferrari.
When Carlos’s race engineer told him he has a 5 second stop n go penalty and then Carlos had to correct him that it was just a 5 second penalty. I think it’s just Ferrari not paying attention to the small details.

It is refreshing to hear a driver admit he made a mistake.

Yeah - he didn’t use the protective plural, chapeau for that. When a driver stuck the car into a wall and then says “We made a mistake today…” I always cringe.
