In the UK the replay can be invoked anytime during or after the race, you just wind the time back to the start. You folks are being short-changed.

yes, F1 is UK based so it's home country gets all the privileges. Other countries have different agreements.

And, when I wrote replay what I meant was, say, you miss the whole race for whatever reason, you can watch the whole race replay 2 days later.
I dont know about instant replay on your phone....

With ESPN I can stream previously broadcast races, practice sessions, or qualifying.

Here in Denmark the live broadcast is interrupted a few times by commercials - is that a Danish thing only, or the same all over? Love F1, so it really annoys me and probably many others too....

Yea we get the UK Sky F1 feed here in Australia so there’s like ads for English stuff we can’t even buy and don’t care about, like Sheffield City vs Manchester Incorporated in the EUAFA cup and things like that.

To be fair to Sky they manage to broadcast the whole race without ad breaks. They may have their hands tied with Liberty Media taking a slice of the action.

I’m OK with ad breaks, but through the actual race is very annoying (we're talking four+ times). I don’t recall seeing the same done in other sports….

The revised track now has 14 corners, instead of 16 and is 23m shorter as a result.
Lewis held the old lap record of 1.20.486 and all ready Sainz is below 1.18!
Lewis struggled through both sessions, while Alonso and Bottas were on song.
Looks like the Ferrari powered cars will do well.
Will try to get some pics of the cars today. In the mean time, a blast from the past

I was down at Turn 3 yesterday, the slowest corner on the circuit. Great to see the cars up close and loud 😀

It was interesting to see that the Ferraris appeared to be ‘porpoising’ the most, yet topped the times. The Mercedes seemed smooth but just slower. Almost everyone was wearing papaya coloured hats 😉 Here are a couple of Red Bulls:

Pretty gutted for Alonso, that lap was looking incredible until the car failed.

That Canadian on Canadian incident was a bit sad too, no idea what Stroll thought he was doing but he certainly has poor situational awareness.

No idea what Latifi was doing either. He let Stroll by and then decided to overtake on the next corner. Wtf was that?

I saw the interview with Stroll and he had a hard time explaining what happened. The guy has enough talent to be a F1 driver but there are times where he does really stupid stuff on the track.

Congratulations to LEC on a scintillating run to pole position.

The Ferrari and Mercedes drivers looked like bobbleheads due to porpoising. It will be interesting to see how they hold up during the race.

Good race and a fitting result.
Best battle was mid pack and GREAT news for Williams scoring points.
