During the race commentary, I believe someone mentioned that a puncture would show up on the telemetry before a failure. And, in both cases, there was no artifact of a puncture.

We saw Max smiling at the post interviews. There would not have been any smiles had Hamilton not gone off Nice to see Gasly and Vettel on the podium, and frankly, I believe that Perez deserved to win this race. He should have been leading after the first stop.
I was waiting for him to spin, like MazeSpin does Jokes a side, I feel sorry for Verstappen, he really did another amazing race, until the tyre failure occurred. However, nice to see someone else on the podium, than verstappen and hamilton.
He should be pissed at this strategy. Idk why Mercedes is still trying to be fair to both drivers when RB has already made Perez #2. It's clear that Bottas isn't going to win the WDC so they should be using him to maximize position for Lewis at this point.
To be fair that's what Bottas was trying to do on whatever was left from his set of Hards. He should at least be allowed to have a say in his own strategy. I don't think Mercedes have given him an opportunity to challenge for the WDC right from the beginning of 2020.
