Yeah I saw something about Long Beach. Didn't know about the rest.
Looks like they are actually not holding the race in St. Pete now either.

I don't really follow Indy anymore.
I did from around 2004-2011.
But after the death of Dan Wheldon, I was done.
I still go down to the St. Pete race every year since it is only a quick bike ride away from my house.
But other than that, I could care less.

Dutch, Spanish and Monaco races scrubbed, not much of a season even if no others are cancelled, which is unlikely.. Seven of 22 so far.

If they skip summer break then F1 could squeeze in 2 races possibly 3 to get the race count back up to 17 or 18 races if no more are cancelled. My guess is they'll want to squeeze in the ones that pay the highest fees (weather permitting). There's no point in doing a summer break now if they already had a forced 3 month shut down.

As I understand they have not been canceled but rather postponed....for now.
They officially moved the summer break to now, basically, for 21 days.
Also, 2021 regs. moved to 2022.

It is very disappointing not to see Monaco in that list. Fist time it would be out of the calendar since 1955.

Such good memories of Senna driving in track with one hand while shifting gears with the other.

I'm not surprised Monaco would be scrapped. They don't pay a race fee and the FIA and teams would rather race at a place that pays out. I'm surprised Bahrain and the oil money isn't being squeezed in.

So F1 is delaying 2021 formula and spending cap to 2022?

To clarify, I do believe that the spending cap WILL in fact be present for the 2021 season. But all other technical changes/rules will be 2022.

There are indications from scientists that the period of social distancing will have to last for the rest of the year if we are to avoid a repeat situation over the winter of 2020/2021, if this is true and governments around the globe keep things tight then I cannot see F1 or any major sporting event taking place this year.

Only time will tell.

Personally I agree. I'd be surprised if anything in Europe would be back to somewhat normal by August/September. US will be even later than that.

Some panic downloading been going on here -- all the F1.com "Beyond the Grid" podcasts. 68 of them should keep me occupied for a while.

Then there is the "Lotus 18" book that I never really read properly.

Anyone else have plans?

Question: Is there anywhere online that streams or replays old races?
I used to sit on the spin bike for the duration of a race and want to get back into the habit.

There is no way they will be able to move the cars around so quickly per month in June July.
Looking at Sept before you see any if any this year.

My best guess would be some events during Sept, Oct, Nov, assuming that they can find countries that are Covid 19 free by then and willing to hold a GP, but no real season, certainly no championships and if F1 can actually agree to anything, keep everything the same for 2021.

However, this is F1, the power hungry money moguls at the top are quite likely to want to have races taking place by June / July, maybe without spectators, they need to keep the money rolling in.

We will see how things progress.

The only countries that can hold races without spectators would be the ones where it's government funded which mainly the countries rolling in oil money. With the price of oil tanking, I don't see those countries rushing to pay the F1 fees to hold a race. I'm guessing we'll be luck to see any races before August.
