Kimi in the Alfa passing Vettel has to be totally embarrassing for Ferrari right now.

Ferrari is just a bunch of Jokers with two great drivers.::facepalm1::
Good thing Alonso isn’t driving for Ferrari otherwise he might be on the radio complaining about a GP2 engine. ::stirthepot::

Ricciardo must be smiling knowing that he will be driving a Mercedes powered car next year.

makes me wonder how bad the family needs cash.
The article states he’s an avid car enthusiast and gives his perspective on the deal. Based on that and his quote, it seems he bought it for its iconic history and that it has his starting number 5... I don’t get the sense they are desperate for money. He may have approached them vs them liquidating assets.

They've been crap in the constructors standings the past few years and a year after saying they're never going to sell the team they sold the team.

I don’t know. Its speculation on both sides (yours and mine) but I imagine it’s mentally, emotionally, and financially exhausting to be in her position.

I can understand why she would shut down the idea of selling a family owned team for so long. Over the years the rumors of her selling the team revolves around her being a failure. Of course you would want to shut that down and try to fight for success. Everyone has a stopping point though and I think she just hit hers. Just because the family sold the team and a car does not make me think they are strapped for cash.

To add- did you see the Daytona she was wearing in the interview? When I see a “Claire Williams Rolex Daytona” for sale, I’ll think differently and agree with you 😉

It’s sad to see the Williamses depart. It’s amazing how long they lasted - I followed Ken Tyrrell’s team back in the 70s/80s and when he gave it up it seemed like the writing was on the wall as large companies and car brands took over. But Williams kept going and got stronger and stronger, though I guess the only way was down after the Mansell/Piquet/Prost years.

God is punishing Ferrari because they chose to be sponsored by Hublot. Look at the horror.
