Hi all,

I tried now for 2 months to got get an EoA, but from my side it always says that this service presently is not available.

Is there anyone with the same experiance? Is there a fault on my side? Or could it be that this service no longer is available at all? Would be nice to have this working again...

Happy if you could share your experience with this.

Best,
Caslock

my mate the OB manager says it will be “
Ich habe auch schon gehört, dass im neuen Jahr Archivauszüge wieder erhältlich sein werden.

Es werden jedoch weiterhin keine Echtheitszertifikate ausgestellt
.”

Which closely translated to English means will be available again in ‘24 but no certification of originality is made! Only which year your ref was built/sent to.

Sounds similar to before.
As a collector I would simply like to know when and where the piece originally was distributed to.
Would be also great to see the name of jeweller and maybe the name of customer...

Of course would be good to have it assessed if piece is 100% original, but that only comes for a hefty premium.

Edit: it is possible I uncovered an old web page that Omega missed. While it is an active web page, I cannot find any link to how to order. I contacted customer service to ask about the extracts. Hopefully I did not raise false hope.

Looks like extracts are available again.

I clicked on the “Order an Extract” link, but doesn’t seem to work yet. But definitely a good sign. Thanks for the heads up!

This is what I see on the webpage…is this new?

Can you provide the link?

Are you in the USA? (I ask because previously we in the US could not order extracts online.)

I am not seeing the extract on the US site. I found the customer service menu which has preserve and user manuals.

Not logged in so it keep asking to subscribe to newsletter. I am already subscribed. All I get is fluff.

Does not seem to work from the US. Button is there, but it just refreshes the page. Tried logging in. Same effect.

There is a place in your profile to add your watches, but it says current collection only. Probably just as well I have 35 or 40 vintage omegas. and a bunch of plates or parts. Mostly ladies cocktail type movements. A few PWs as well.

I wonder if the US would generate too much traffic. Sometime it would be interesting to know more about my speedy and the chronostop. Even the nicer connies and seamasters could be interesting. The rat watches not so much at the prices they charge.

Bulk pricing would be nice, Or online only.

There is a chance the speed master movement was made on my 10th birthday since the online aggregator gives it as February of 1970.

Somehow I do not think that vintage watches have any meaning. I did follow omega and the museum on IG, But I only check that once a week. I am not their target market.

Buy new @retail and you don’t have the worries of frankensteins plus 5 yrs guarantee
This is great advice if you're not the least bit intterested in vintage Omega. Unfortunately, since OF is a communitry of collectors and enthusiasts, many of whom are very much interested in vintage Omega, it's advice that has pretty limited utility here.

Looks like Omega is preparing to re-open the service, but isn’t ready yet.

Like when you see the paper on the windows when a store is being renovated.

Patience.
