Here are a few more. Eterna watches are greatly under-appreciated and are relative bargains for that reason. Quality is comparable to Omega imo.

Hit me up in case you’re selling the black Kontiki

I really like the oblique numerals on this Eterna I recently picked up. Despite a little damage to the dial around 3 o'clock, this watch currently has the highest enjoyment-to-cost ratio of any in my modest collection.

Nice! I've never seen that before - are you able to estimate what year-ish?

Beautiful piece 😎

Superrrrr cool, but a very heavy price! That bracelet is done…
You might like this, from 1960. Case might be a little soft, and personally I would always miss the little ship when I looked at the back. Seems correct though, and the GF 18kt bracelet would be a yes from me, thanks. Annoyingly, it's one of those "price on request" dealers, but I'm hazarding my guess at "too expensive for me". I would love it to go to an Eterna lover though, rather than someone who just wants a vintage gold watch for their birthday.

Yeah, I think so. The serial number is 4.4M, which I understand puts it at around 1960.

Thanks for the heads up. I, too, had spotted it. I requested the price and it is €14.000. Hahahaha! That's certainly 4x over value.

Civilian/military crossover from the early 1950s. Same case, hands, movement (520), and caseback as the Eterna "dirty dozen."

This looks to be a redial.

Oh dear, what makes you say that? If so, back to the seller it goes, of course! But the lettering is right for the period, the ageing on the hands, dial, and case seem to be of a piece, and it matches the reference dials I was able to find (inc. the absence of minute delineations on the sub-second dial, which is uncommon, but not unknown).

If it helps, here is my crème brûlée patina Eterna, same movement.

That does help. Note the different script but both recognizable in a distinctly Eterna way. I've seen both the thicker version like mine and the more spidery version like yours. The dials from this period, and Eterna dials in general, have alot of variations, which is one of the things that makes them most interesting to collect, imho.

Agree with you and the Eterna scripts variance, I had noticed both as well. So, wasn't sure if it would help perse. But what for me seem odd on your is the sub-second printing which seems far off and numerals are big to my eyes.

Good point on the sub-seconds, but the larger numbers are not uncommon in the ones that don't have the second hashes (more room for larger numbers). Also, if you look at the numbers themselves on both the sub-second dials, you'll see lots of similarities (e.g. the flat-topped "4"). Another similarity is the thicker hashes at the hour numbers. Perhaps there's something I'm missing, but I don't see any convincing reason to suspect this one . . .

Would you expect the number 7 to overlap the subdial?
Though not definitive I can't see "Swiss" below the 6 as is normal.
Otherwise, if a redial, it seems well done to me.

The 6, too, a tad. Seems like maybe they were meant to be printed on a dial with a smaller subdial. Could be due to Eterna trying to create variety, for all I know.

The outer dial seems to have a variance in thickness. The 'Eterna' print seems crooked. The 7 enters the petite seconde, which it never should. The print on the petite seconde feels off in size. 'Swiss' is missing below.

I have owned an early 1930s Eterna and I can assure you the printing should be razor sharp and pristine, even from that period.

Star Wars' opening screen called, and it wants its numerals back!

Seriously though this is a very distinctive screen, and quite a lovely find.
