Some of the latest Eterna arrival
1961 KonTiki on Gay Frères Bracelet Cal 1416UD
View attachment 1133224

As it's been a bit of an Eterna day, here's yet another KonTiki: 1961 130T on Gay Frères, Cal 1422UD. Just one of the most beautiful and best watches I own, regardless of price. Factoring in cost, it has a step on the podium. Wonderful movement (recently serviced by James Harris), gorgeous caseback, themed on an adventure story worth commemorating. Bracelet is beyond lovely.

Beautiful sunburst dial and very nice caseback raft emblem! Congrats! What was the price?

Thanks for the boost! I never disclose price and it was a while ago. But there are good ones out there in the mid-high three figures range. Add a bit for the original bracelet, as it really is nice. These things are not scarce, so waiting for a good example is worthwhile. Good luck!

Agree! Sadly reminds me of the one I got outbid a few weeks ago. But good to know there are more out there 😀.

Ouch that hurts. I call DIBS then 😀. I wouldn't have thought from the dealers pictures that the dial is actually white.

That realization caused me a frown or two, too. It is borderline misleading advertising.

The other day someone kindly pointed out my 1931 Eterna I posted wasn't in fact an Eterna-Matic. I've come bearing a gift to make up for that 😉
This 1948 -Matic arrived the other day. The dial has seen better days but the case is phenomenal. It gives me vintage Patek vibes, frankly!

White balance on my phone isn't great, watch has a yellowish hue, as in dealer's pictures

Haha, I opted for 'teardrop' lugs!

Ok, you can tell that I don't work in marketing 😀. Teardrop lugs sounds way better than fish lugs. I should have proposed pisces lugs 😀

New strap for my Centenaire
Wonderful hour indices! Also perfect pumpkin pips and five balls on the glass. They don't come much better.

Fresh in from Germany, this 1941 stainless steel Eterna with cal. 1034H bumper movement. Stepped bezel, bullseye dial, sword hands - chuck in all marketing lingo you want, this is stellar quality at any rate.
The glossy dial is a true eye-catcher and very dynamic. Do check out the video below in native 4K.

This one just came in today.
Very nice condition, with its box, its buckle and a Eterna strap.
Actually my thiner watch so far. I've ordered some old press advertising for the fun of it.

Nice look IMO, very classic, "straight" dress watch.
I've ordered a safiano blue strap to go along with it (I'll save the eternal strap 😀

Have a great day

I think so yes. But not sure.
