thanks I have been considering one of these,
looks like it fills your wrist pretty well?
For sure. It wears like a charm. Would definitely recommend!

My Eternamatic:

Henry Birks and sons the iconic Canadian jewellery retailer had the Canadian franchise for Eterna, and may still do. But I am guess into on that matter. The private label Birks watch brand Challenger I believe was basically an Eterna. Haven鈥檛 seen a Challenger on the MB before. Anybody got one?

Don't have a challenger personally but have read much that confirms your asserition- it is a house branded Eterna. They also had the franchise for Longines for decades, I have a WWI sterling Trench watch labeled Birks and it's a Longines.

I鈥檒l have to dig around in my stash and see if I can come up with a Birks Challenger. Not to be confused with the Bombardier Challenger. Different critter. 馃榾

I recently purchased a 1930s Eterna that features a 'clamshell' case (serial 242xxxx so it looks to have been produced in 1931) and that's yet to arrive. I'll add a photo provided by the seller as well as cross-posting my question thread here, in hopes of attracting more expertise. https://omegaforums.net/threads/1930s-clamshell-cases.101493/

Beautiful, love how the figures are faceted on top and undercut on the bottom side. 馃憤

My Centenaire is a poor cousin compared to some of these, but nonetheless delightful
... And my 1990s Kon-Tiki diver is the only mechanical watch I've ever owned that kept time at less than 2 sec/day in any position! If Tudor didn't get design cues for the BB58 from this watch, they should have!

Further, a Q for those more knowledgeable. I鈥檝e always found these watches to be attractive, but never actively researched or hunted them, and mine was an impulse purchase. The caseback on mine is the more simple version rather than the medallion, but the serial number seems to fit in with the right period (as far as I can find online). Any knowledge on these? Is this the dress back versus the diver?

Hoping maybe @gatorcpa knows something as he wrote many of the posts I鈥檝e found!

Recived this beautiful Eterna bumper today with seems like a unpolished case.
No Eterna-matic but its an Eterna with automatic movement so it counts 馃槈

Reading this thread prompted me to pull out some of my Eterna. Think I鈥檒l wear the 20 today. Has most amazing dial. They are great watches. Superb movements and fabulous looks!

This Eternamatic 1000 was part of a lot of watches I purchased for one specific watch....I don't think I even noticed it when I bid on the lot. Turned out to be a great "bonus"...handsome dress watch....very thin....and very accurate.
