Engraved cases... how do you feel?

I'm from Bulgaria. Until 1989, there was a communist regime and during this period the state ordered factory seals for the rear covers. As an example, "25 Years of People's Power" and the like, placed mainly on watches manufactured in the USSR. In connection with the totalitarian regime, I have twice had a WWII Elgin US Air Force. The interesting thing is that one of the back covers was polished and the other one was missing and worn over the years. Certainly it was not healthy to see you and dive into the authorities, as it says USA Army !!!
Another interesting story about my engraving is on a clock with the following inscription: "From Joru's Dad" as Joru is actually written Joro. I imagine the owner taking his watch and seeing the error, but it was too late!

For example Marlon Brando鈥檚 Rolex ::facepalm1::
The engraving itself is just dam ugly so for me it detracts value. The value is added by being a celebrity watch not the inscription (again just my view).
The personal value for me would depend on one salient fact:
who actually did the engraving.
It's so awful that I can only imagine it was done by a family member, very close friend, OR M.B. himself.
IF it was personally engraved by M.B. then, as facepalmy as it looks, it's a piece of his own handiwork, with a very personal piece of himself affixed. It would be a LOT more valuable in that.

If it wasn't hand-cut by M.B. then..... I'd just call it ugly. 馃槣

What a treasure a beautiful silver cushion case watch ( Manufacture Brand ) ? ? ?
Would i be correct in saying that the dial face is enamel.
The inscription is crisp & clear with much information.
102 years old ..... Part of history, what a story it has to tell....
Take Great Care of it my friend .... A fine work of art & craftsmanship 馃榾

I remember an accession from my retail days when a plumbing company was giving a watch to a plumber on their staff whose name was LOUIE. The watch came back from the engraver with LOVIE engraved on it. I don鈥檛 remember how we handled it.
