I wish that the rest of the watch looked as good as the movement.

Interesting watch....

Love the following comment: “The crown was attached and I was able to set the watch once but then the crown came off in my hand so its present but may need a stem.”!
Wondering if this is due to corrosion or something else... but it seems that this is the original crown, no?

I wish that the rest of the watch looked as good as the movement.
Here are a few things I would consider, but look forward to be “critiqued” by the experts around here:
- Cracked hesalite with risk of moisture ingress, but it does not seem that dial suffered.
- hour markers not “washed out”
- wondering about bezel insert and why it seems to be “deeper” than usual with the 60 on top, a bit obstructed.
- also, is it the pic resolution or do the serial number and the “omega” sign next to the 321 seem a bit “off”?
- hands look legit with some lume that has fallen off on hour hand
- short fat chrono pushers also seem period-correct
- from engravings on caseback, it does seem that the watch has been serviced at least two or three times in its lifetime... but on the plus side, it does not seem to have suffered from a “hack” job when being opened as there are no deep scarring of the back and the step is still visible all around with crisp Seahorse.
- movement without the “OXB” engraving... so, not initially delivered to USA?

I think it hasn't been used nor serviced for a while, thus it got stuck.

If you look past the filth and scratched crystal, you will probably see that the only real flaw is the missing lume in the hour hand.

After the bidding ends, the real question is whether it will be worth the purchase price plus what it’s going to take to restore it. Quite possibly, yes, but we’ll see where the dust settles.

Some can see through scratched crystal and some missing lume in one hand...and others cannot. I'm thankful that people such as you can look at this and call it a POS, as it has likely saved me money through the years. This will clean up very, very nicely and if someone has been waiting for an honest Ed White, now is the time to step up. Send it off to an expert, re-lume that hand, and it'll be terrific.
