Seen on eBay, thoughts?

Hi

I’ve not bought a vintage omega before but after searching eBay, I’m tempted by this one. What are your thoughts? It on for £750

I’m not sure if it’s been heavily restored. Looks a bit to good.

Looks good to me. Some dial spotting on macro pictures but not bad, common with this age watch. Any movement photos? Price seems a little high but may be ok for your market, I assume UK? Our UK members will have opinion on price.

It’s no bargain imo. It’s the most common dial type, has no bracelet, is the manual wind version rather than the more sought after automatic and has the wrong crown.

You should be able to get an auto for less and for ever so slightly more, one with a correct bracelet.

Slightly smaller with 33,5mm than most of the other SMDs

crown is replaced

Thank you for the quick appraisal! I’ll request some movement photos as you suggest. Yeah, there are ones a couple of hundred cheaper, but I’ve taken a shine to this one!

Thanks, I’ll maybe keep looking and see if I can get an automatic. You think ebay is as good as anywhere to search for something like this?

Yeah I agree. Some people love it, some people hate it, but I get most of my watches from eBay and bricks and mortar auctions.

Not a bargain, but the watch looks totally fine to me. It's probably smaller than you're expecting.
