    Errrrrr::confused2::......::confused2::........ I'm assuming that Omega will only issue 1 extract for each serial number presented to them.

    If that is the case,...::confused2:: ....... and somebody used the photograph 'info' to order an extract, it could mean you would then be unable to order an extract for your genuine watch.::confused2::

    Historically, people withheld the serial to avoid having their serial number used in a run of fake watches. I don’t think that’s a prevalent these days. I actually think showing the serial provides the opposite effect when selling, it legitimizes the item.

    I think scammer block out the serial so whomever they stole the pics from (google search and stealing from forums like this), won’t see it and say-hey, that my watch. Now I don’t know my serials numbers by heart-but I’m sure some members here do ::screwloose::

    Poor guy, though. His wife is in a different city and is ‘hard’. No wonder he’s selling it so cheap, maybe he’s going to use the money to soften her.

    Errrrr?::confused2::.... ::confused2::.....Errrrr? ::confused2:: ..... I was told it by the bloke who actually makes Omega watches... He told me... last Tuesday... I got chatting with him... errrrr???... in a pub .::shy:: .... in errrrr? ... Switzerland ::shy::
