The search options available for item location seem to be quite limited. In the US we can choose Default, distance from zip code, US Only, North America, and Worldwide.

Is there any way to select specific countries to search? Or which to exclude? Say maybe, Ukraine?

Yes there's a way - I use geo-ship for that (set seller location to the country you want), I never use the ebay site itself for my searches.

I don’t have a country isolator but you may be able to isolate some specific terms they use that many others don’t (i.e. “wow”) and create a search that can cut some of the listings down.

For example you could search: Omega -wow -Quartz -gold -ladies -lady -women -woman -heinous

Any listing containing those search phrases would not be included. I created a similar list once for basic automatic watches to avoid the Indian specials.

This is definitely frustrating. Particularly plowing through sellers who list hundreds of items at a time, few of them interesting.

Someone once gave me a python script for filtering out specific countries. I've lost track of it but will update if I find it.

I log on to the specific ebay country site, as Vercingetorix suggests.

I have bought some GREAT old vintage glass Christmas tree ornaments from sellers int he Ukraine--year after year for over a decade. So I hope you aren't putting down Ukraine?

This aside, as Vercingetorix says--search individual countries, but bring your dictionary with you.

And also not forget to change the ''shipping to" to the country you are searching in, sometimes a few extra items will pop up and the person will still accept to ship it to you (since you are willing to pay expensive shipping)

I think the issue is they have a glut of omega pocket watches they would like to sell as regular watches... I don’t believe any offense was to be taken by Ukraine ;)

Thank you! I'll check it out.

Definitely not putting down Ukraine. Just trying to avoid the listings mentioned above.
