The odds that it is an actual Doxa are vanishingly small. My guess is that you are looking at a generic Chronograph Suisse redialed to be a Doxa.

The re-dial is interesting. If you look closely you will notice that there are actually two distinct tachymeter tracks, and that they are not particularly well aligned with each other.

there's so much going on in the dial it's hard to distinguish anything that was worked on. that coupled with the original hand type font used.

the blue out tract does bleed from 1800 to 1400 but that may be because of the design

For me, it's not difficult to know that the dial is repainted, but not based on "bleed." I think you are looking at optical distortion from the edge of the crystal.

look at the blue ring next to the numbers i said in various pics. don't think it's distortion..the numbers, yes. the ring no.

i don't think it's 100% doxa either. the question is how much of it is even doxa..

it would still prolly look nice on the wrist, to any naked eye

There is no evidence of anything Doxa. No branding on case or movement. No Doxa import code. As you know, the dial is garbage. Chronographe Suisse watches are re-dialed with fake branding all the time. Ulysse Nardin and Baume & Mercier are also very popular, because they are currently considered desirable brands. I've seen dozens.

Yeah, not a Doxa like any I've seen or owned. I have the Doxa bible at home, and nothing in there resembles the watch posted. Font, kerning, pushers, case, caseback -- not qualified to address that or any movement, but looks like someone added Doxa to the dial of Any Old Watch in order to capitalize on the resurgence of interest in vintage examples. You could always PM one of the real experts on the brand like TheFlyingDoctor or Rick Marai (though he may not be inclined to answer any Dosa-related questions these days) and there have been a ton of Doxa-branded dress and other watches sold in specific markets, but it isn't a Sub, and therefore likely incidental for collectors.

Hi all, tacking on to OP with another Doxa of interest. Looking for any verification that this is indeed an original Doxa as listed. No ref # or caliber stated in the listing, and having trouble finding a comparable version anywhere online. Stated to be 1945/WW2 era. Appreciate any info!!
