Hi all

Looking at this vintage Bathyscaphe model - not seen it before, 37/38mm case so not the mc4 and with an AS 2063 movement apparently dates from 1960s.
I can see images of other grey dial Bathys out there but none with this sort of bezel or red date window
Insights welcome!

Wouldn't pay any kind of money for it. $100 at the flea market, ok. Looks sketch. Do you have a shot of inside the case back?

Yeah, no. Too many red flags. In fact, everything about it is a red flag. Differences in the wear on the stamping. Is it $100? I like the bezel.

I’m no expert on Blancpain, but it looks completely fake to me just based on general observations.

Update - got a helpful guy at Blancpain AD who asked their Heritage dept on my behalf:

Indeed, it's hard to judge from the photos, but it looks like the case and dial are related to a Blancpain production, but not from the same model.

In addition, this movement reference was used in a third model and the engraving on the oscillating weight does not appear to be authentic.

This piece seems to be an assemblage of at least three models.

Please note that these are just observations based on photos.
