doubt between two Moonphase

I'm thinking of one of these two Speedmasters, I like them both but I can only buy one, what do you think? which one would you choose?

Between those 2, the blue side.
The low weight is a nice feature, on top of the looks.

If you like a photo realistic moon with cool moonboot print and looks dressy then go for the sedna gold but if you like the sporty look then go for the blue ceramic. But if you want a balance between these 2 then consider what I have or the new JLC master calendar.

brown dial looks like it would be much more rare in the wild.

Agree, the Sedna gold and steel model would be my pick between the two, with better contrast amongst the features.

gbesq - the JLC Moon model that you showed is a little too bland and bare for my tastes. However, I previously looked at a JLC moonphase once, with meteorite dial (along with day, date, and month), but in the end it just didn't speak to me enough to get it vs the Speedy Tuesday ST1 at the time. However, I do like the JLC meteorite version below a little more than the Speedmaster Moonphase above.

I would go with the brown dial. Paired with the brown leather strap it’s go a lovely warm hue to it. And judging by the constellation range omega do rose gold really well.

I do also like the JLC MUT moon phase very much. Even more so, their newest master control line.

There is always the very modest and unassuming aventurine twin of your original choice that u started off on (the other half of the blue brothers)

I love my Brown/ Sedna Moon phase . I recently Queried the forum on whether to put it on a steel bracelet. I think it looks great and wears well with a suit or jeans. Here it is on steel,

It looks great on you !! Do you know if the footprint is also printed on this model on the moon?

I would choose the brown one, since the blue is coated.
I've always liked that blue model, but with polished case.

For me the 44.25mm feels to big for a dressier watch unfortunately, I like everything else about it.

But is it $12,000 vs $24,000 better?
That's why I got the steel meteorite version. Although I like the slate grey dial on the gold version better, I couldn't justify paying double for it.

I was close to pulling the trigger on the steel and gold brown dial a few years ago.
That blue one is a little too blue.

For me it would be blue out of those two. But, I find them extremely large and unbalanced (although my daily is 44mm Panerai) and therefore would choose the JLC master moonphase.

Blue is coated? Coated in what? The ceramic is blue, it's not paint, PVD or anything other than the natural brushed and polished finish of the ceramic.

Ok ceramic then, still to much blue for me. 👎
Maybe it looks better in real, than pictures.

None of the two, if it were for me. I can only associate a moonphase watch with a classic vintage watch, otherwise....

in the end the winner was the moonphase sedna gold and steel, in nature the watch is fantastic with those brown sun rays, sporty and elegant at the same time.
