·Today I’m selling this beautiful Omega Cosmic triple date moon phase ref CK2471 from the 1940's. These are some of my favourite Omegas to collect as they have so many interesting dial variations under the same reference numbers and of course the big challenge in finding nice original examples in unmolested condition!
This one has a two-tone cream dial with gilt arabics and a blue date chapter ring which has developed an even marble like patina. This is an early dial with the printed Omega logo and text. The golden leaf hands with blue date pointer are also in excellent condition. The stars/moon disk has a nice brown hue which is very helpful when it comes to picking out a complimentary leather strap.
The steel case is in very good shape whilst most importantly for this reference the curved lugs and bezel have retained their sharp distinctive finish. The signed crown and date setting pushers are functioning perfectly. The case back is signed 2471/1
Running a cal 27DLCP with a serial number in the 10.9 million range which ties in with around 1948 or so. The movement is in great shape and running well, winding and setting very smoothly with the English calendar and moon phase functions operating as they should. The watch was serviced in 2018 and has been worn once or twice a year since.
€4500 net to me will include worldwide Track & Trace shipping. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal for well established forum members only. Selling this one head only but I can include a brown leather strap if so wanted.
Any question?...Just ask 😉
