Answer from seller
I did list it as more than likely aftermarket and only suitable for a project so I can't see anyone paying hundreds for it believing it to be genuine. So you reckon £25 is too much to ask then?

Here are some tips to help you avoid purchasing a fake vintage Omega.

Here's a classic fake Seamaster:

First, you won't find "antimagnetic" or a jewel count on the dial of any Seamaster. Second, that's one crappy movement. Omega copper plated their movements since the word Seamaster has been used on the dial. Third, Omega never put the hallmarks (like the Ω WATCH Co inside the triangle or the 18K 0.750) you see on this watch's caseback on the outside - they were always on the inside.

Here's another example in a different case:

Bottom line: ASK BEFORE YOU BUY! Part of the reason this forum exists is to help less experienced people buy decent vintage watches without getting ripped off. We don't even charge! It's a FREE service!

Looks like a prop from a very low budget film

OMAGE is back !!

Relisted due to falling foul of some rule. Anyway, apologies to watchers and the previous bidder on behalf of the self appointed 'Guardians of the Horological Galaxy' exercising their right to be petty. If you were watching the previous auction you'll know what this is. It's a dial in the style of the Seamaster 300 which funnily enough I bought here, on ebay, a few years ago. It was fitted to a 166 .073 'deep blue' and as I said in my previous listing looked really nice, but wasn't the right dial for that particular watch so I replaced it for the correct one. It's been sat in a drawer ever since. Now the grown ups in the room should know I'm not trying to deceive anyone into believing this is anything other than it is. But it is a nice quality glossy enamel vintage style dial with luminous batons and would look good in a project for somebody, so here it is. No logos displayed, no manufacturers marks on the blank, and the feet have been removed so it'll need sticky pads.Think that covers it . Thanks .

Just saw this great analogy re buying watches from eBay (from a Bark & Jack YouTube video):

“It’s like finding a wife in a brothel, lots of pretty faces but you don’t know what kind of diseases they have”

Now up to $3500 with an hour left. Am I missing something? These are as fake as they come, right?
Very fake. That Goodwill location even states they have sophisticated gold testing instruments. "Jewelry is tested using the Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer and the Gemoro Testerossa"
I've sent them a couple of messages warning them that they are dangerously exposed. They have been notified that they are selling a counterfeit and proceeding with the auction with this knowledge.
It's going to be a mess. All in the name of "Goodwill" (my butt)

Hopefully Goodwill will pull it down. Just received this:

"Thank you for reaching out to us. Upon further inspection, this item was found to not be authentic, and we are looking into the matter further. Take care, Kristen"

Just got the same message. They ended up selling last night for $5000, so hopefully we saved someone a LOT of heartache!
