I guess they must assume the more they beat the shit ,out of it, the more real it is. Everyone of these thinks loo like they were put in an auto tumbler with rocks, screws, bolts, etc... even if it was real, wouldn’t want it.

Yes, you misunderstood. This topic is to expose fake Omega watches for sale, not to question watches that you may not be sure of. If you create a new, dedicated topic for your query I'm sure you'll get rapid and helpful responses.

Removed by ebay and then relisted: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-...612506?hash=item21846c535a:g:xCYAAOSwquxgMj7bPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

"so listed this watch yesterday and it seemed to grab a lot of attention, I was inundated with questions, requests for more photos, buy it now prices. It was even being bid up by some user with 1 poor feedback from South korea??? 1 user even claimed it was counterfeit. Eventually after trying to cancel bids etc the post was removed by ebay."

Only 1 person said it was counterfeit?

I had told him the case, bezel, hands, dial basically everything was aftermarket and he responded “No idea about refurbished parts, bought 3 omegas in a job lot locally.”

then the price dropped and I checked bids.

Just saw in the listing he now states

    So facts first.

    Geniune Omega 552 automatic movement

    Geniune refurbished dial and hands.

    Geniune Omega 552 stem.

Either refurbished or replacement aftermarket casing

    Either refurbished or aftermarket bezel.

    Aftermarket nato strap.

Some people explained to me that it could be either a Watch Co or a Frankenstein watch. Basically a load of omega parts put together to make the watch.

On the plus side the watch keeps great time and keeps great charge and looks tremendous

Others asked me where I got the watch, it was a job lot, check out my other for sale items you'll see the other seamaster in there.”

Maybe we will even see it show up in our forum with a thread title like “how did I do on my first vintage purchase?”
