Is there anyway to determine how many Omega 145.022-68 Transitionals were manufactured from late 1968 to the end of 1969? I've searched online and I have looked thru the reference book, Moonwatch Only, and I have no definitive answer... maybe that's the answer. If you consider that approximately 27,000 to 28,000 145.012s were manufactured between the years 1967 to 1969, then you'd divide 28,000 by 3 to come up with approximately 9,500 watches produced per year. Would it follow that the transitional reference 145.022-68 with an 861 calibre movement which was only manufactured for one year, late 1968 to the end of 1969, that approximately 9,500 transitionals were produced or did Omega produce a much larger batch of the 861 calibre in a given year? Not sure about the 145.012 watches. My 145.022-68 Transitional watch's "Extract from the Archives" says it was built in July 1969. I think my Serial Number might be one of later ones built. Did anybody ever build a Registry of all the 68 Transitional Speedy watches? .
Linked question (but I don't want to pollute this thread...): How many 145.012-68?... (There is a lot of -67, I never see any -68...)
Bringing back on topic... still no answers regarding number of Transitionals that were manufactured between late 1968 and end of 1969. Also, I found this watch that was sold on this Forum back in October 2016 that is a transitional and was manufactured in December of 1968 according to the Extract of the Archives. Obviously very few were made in 1968. Link: https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-speedmaster-145-022-68-transitional.46919/
