Bought at auction. Mainly because one of these was on a nice rivet clewco bracelet. I like them though. Solid steel cases and a feel of quality.

Update of my PR 516 collection

file.php

My last watch.
It is a reference 44622 "Roger Moore". However, it is the only one that i ever seen with silver dial. I think it is fully original because the graphics are the same that the common blue-green dial.
Furthermore, it has silver hands, this configuration it is common in the 672 reference (white hands - blue dial; silver hands - silver dials).

Have you ever seen something similar?

Nice watches, I don't have any knowledge of tissot in the earlier days. I have (shock, Horror) a T Touch solar which isn't meant to be compared with these but the interesting thing is that I made up a list of what was important to me in a utilitarian daily wear sense for my occupation and the T Touch solar met all the criteria. Personally I think that is a big tick in the box for Tissot.
My small collection of watches starts with a Speedmaster Mk2, Seamaster Pro 300, Tudor Black Bay and Nautical Instruments City 99 as mechanical and 2 of the 4 only tell the time, no date. The quartz watches all have some special features like radio control or a time, day date Chrono etc all indicated by hands. A real complication. Bottom line is the T Touch is a great watch and worthy of the Tissot brand.

Here is my PR516. It was an eBay find. Was in terrible condition. Case was tarnished, crystal scuffed, movement not working.
Got the movement serviced and a new cannon pinion fitted, case polished by hand lightly to remove tarnish, crystal sandpapered and polywatched and a new custom strap made to resemble the one it would have been sold with.

Glad I got it and brought her back to life. Runs at +5 secs a day.

The red tach scale got me 😬 . I made a still fair but half assed offer on this 40506 T12 Lemania from eBay and it just got accepted. Now the wait begins...

And I'll have to sell something as I'd like to keep the collection from increasing wildly, and find a signed buckle or better yet a bracelet for it. Life's tough 😜 😁

Hey guys - great thread here and some amazing Tissot watches from the past!
I do not own one, but maybe you can help me with one topic. My mother used to own a Tissot watch which was gifted to her by her parents sometime back in the 1960's I think. Several years ago she somehow lost this watch and I was thinking that it would be great to find this model somewhere and give it back to her. The problem is that I have no clue about the particular model nor the year - only some features that I remember - maybe you can help me with finding it or can direct me to a website/thread that can help me?
Features of Tissot I am looking for:
- stainless steel
- year of manufacture: 1962-1968
- case: rectangular
- dial: black
- hands: white
- elipsse shaped glass
- bulky/chunky, entry level model most probably
oh - and it is none of the watches shown on pics in this thread
Thanks for any help here!

Update of my PR 516 collection
I'm no Tissot expert, but have to say that very nice PR 516 collection! It's also one of my favorites among vintage Tissots.

Hi there,

Thought I should update too.
This new one 45501 popped up yesterday :

(sorry for the bad picture quality). The case is just wonderful and the dial as nice as my eyes can see... plus it cames with a box and a what looks like an original Tissot strap.

Well I guess Two is too much :

And here another shot with those 3 guys together (along with 45500).

Thanks @S.H.
I do love those Tissot, and I love wearing them and letting the chrono to run for some time, as it is quite beautiful to look at 🤨...
Good luck in your 45500 search : I think they worth it.
