What is GPM?
Any calibration provided?

CPM - counts per minute. Not sure if I get what you mean by calibration.

Any positive control provided with the instrument?
It is hard to gauge the reading, since it depends on the sensitivity o etc.

40-50, it should be Radium but maybe your watch was relumed.
A picture of it can be helpful.

Damn there are some stunning Tissot’s on this forum! They made a lot of great watches. I have these fixers
Bought this PR516 Quartz diver on Ebay. Seller was located in Paraguay, which explains the patina.

I've been looking trough this topic. What a bunch of fantastic Tissot's out here!

My first international buy was a very nice Tissot; imported from Equador. Look at the place where it usualy says "swiss"
It's a Navigator 45509

I might just as well post my entire collection ;-)

Every time I see this watch I want to buy it despite the fact that I already bought it 2 times and finally sold it because I'm not wearing it ! Quartz is maybe my main concern.

So I've found the sister of hands

They were painted metal dials.

Most dial blanks (not just Tissot) were brass alloys. Tissot used a couple of different dial manufacturers during that time but I imagine the roughly 70/30 recipe of copper and zinc was similar for everyone.

Just got this modern, vanilla.... well I suppose Champagne Tissot back from extensive repair and full service.

Normally I just buy vintage but this one was sold as good for parts which seemed a shame to waste a still almost current production watch in this way especially as all the parts are available and you could still buy the complete watch at a retailer from new stock.

I suspect this is going to get a lot of wrist time from me.
