Difference between Seamaster, Seamaster De Ville, and Seamaster 600?

Wow this is thorough. New to this forum and hoping you can steer me in the right direction regarding the right spring bars.
I have a SM passed from my Grandfather to my dad to me. For years it's had an inexpensive hadley Roma strap from the mall. I want to put on a new strap. Compared to my Planet Ocean I can see 1.8mm bars are too big. Does it use 18mm x 1.5mm? Would a modern "quick release" strap fit in the holes?
I used to think it was a 1960 but pics look more like 1962 I've seen online. I don't have any details from inside the case.
Thanks for any advice.

Most likely your watch needs 18mm springbars. Can you measure the lug to lug size with a ruler?

I can try. I have a small rule I use to set up my guitars. I'm pretty confident it's 18mm. I'm more concerned with diameter. The 1.8mm I have for my SMPO is much fatter compared to that spring bar I removed from this SM (seen in pic). I'm wondering if this is 1.5mm. And will a quick-release (like Strapsco, etc) bars fit in the pin hole in the lug? Quick-release would be nice. I'm not going to OEM look. Just a clean black or brown strap.

ADDENDUM: 18MM for sure. The spring Bar on it sends to be 1.5mm.

1.5-mm is pretty standard for a leather strap. The springbar end size is pretty standard as well.

Quick-release can be nice, however if you don't plan on changing the strap often then they are rather superfluous.

Thank you. That's exactly what I was trying to figure out.

Hello, I have just been reading the information you shared regarding Seamaster information you shared .

Specifically

Case ref# 135.011 @ 34.3 mm
No Calendar [no date]

caliber 601

I have a question if you could help at all?

I have recently bought a 1966 Seamaster 600 (photo attached) it is a caliber 601 with movement number 23.255.465 .
I have ordered and just received an Extract of the Archives directly from Omega and it has come back with Geneve model?

The watch face looks original and it says Omega 600 on it .

Could you shed any light on this please ?

Many thanks

Any critiques of this De Ville?

Can't hurt my feelings. Already got the schlock redial experience.

Hello to everyone. Can anyone tell me more about this watch (even its value) that was given to me by my father? I read a bit on this forum and I understood that the SeaMster Deville was produced from 1961 to 1965 and that meister is the jeweler. Unlike everything I've seen online, my Omega Seamaster De Ville wording is at the top while the Meister Automatic wording one at the bottom. Can anyone explain why? Is it rare?
Thanks in advance

Do a Google search of Omega Seamaster Deville 711 and you’ll find some info. Looks like a model from the 70s.

I can conclusively say that the dial has been poorly refinished.

Try googling Omega 135.020.
