Hi everyone,

I recently came across this 1963 Omega Seamaster De Ville, reference 166.020.

It has a gold-filled (GF) case, crosshair champagne dial, and Cal.562 movement.

What really caught my attention are the applied faceted indexes, especially the wider markers at 12, 3, 6, and 9.

I have searched Chrono24, EveryWatch, and Omega Forums but haven’t been able to find another 166.020 with this exact combination of:

  • Gold-filled (GF) case
  • Crosshair dial
  • Faceted applied indexes

Are these indexes original to this reference?
Was this an early production variation or a market-specific dial?
Has anyone seen another example like this?

I’d really appreciate any information or examples.

Thank you!

Due to the vast number of dial variations this example may seem unique, but I think it's just a regular model...

I've found this ones:

I’ve seen them with that dial before and owned one (albeit in steel)
