Edgeworth
·Unlike the Speedy anniversary watches, this one was kind of a flop. It came in three versions, red/yellow/white gold. Exact same size (39.5mm) and movement (2500) as the regular Deville prestige watches but very unique dial layout with Arabic numbers on solid white enamel. These watches retailed at $12-14k, versus $3750 for the base prestige. The markup was due to a solid 18k case, caseback and lugs. You can find them easily now for around $8-10k.
I don’t usually get too hung up on classifying watches as ladies/men’s and with a 6.6 inch wrist I like some “ladies” watches if not too overly feminine. This watch was marketed as a men’s watch, but my suspicion is the gold matched with the dial made it seem too lady-like for a lot of guys, especially at that price point. And the 39.5mm dial was probably a bit large for many ladies.
just feel like this one was a big miss by Omega although I personally would wear it.
