Some new colors tried yesterday:

beautiful salmon dial:

and quite vibrant red dial, but bit difficult to read (although not as catastrophic as the black version)

I like dress watches in general, and there’s a basic form to these that looks appealing. Plus, if I’m not mistaken, the Prestige remains the least expensive way into Omega for a man (36mm and up): around $2800, I want to say?—especially now that the quartz Aqua Terras are no more.

It’s a quibble, but I just can’t get into Roman numerals. Smacks too much of “grandpa’s watch.” I know they do some LEs with bregeut-style arabics, but wish they did more with regular arabics or just stick/dot indices. This form—the Omega Calatrava—simple leather strap---minimal dial text, and then arabics or sticks---all for around or under 3k USD? 38/39mm? I'd be all over that. Kind of a half-way between the DeVille and the AT line.

Once the price-point gets into 5 or 6k range, there are just too many options (new and preowned) from true high-end brands to pick from. JLC foremost.

I like this line of watches a lot. I really like the tresor with the blue dial and small seconds and I was very close to pulling the trigger.
However it’s price puts it in the same league as the GO senator sixties, and the JLC master control ultra thin. At that price point I am leaning towards the sixties.

Problem with Trevor's is not only their huge overpricing, but also legibility, especially on dark dials like blue / black. See some of my TRESOR videos on my chanel - you will see what I am talking about.

I really want to like these, but the sizing is just too big for a dress watch. I don't understand why Omega didn't make an option in 36 or 37mm. 41mm all dial dinner plate??? No thanks.

Don't stick too much to paper specification, because many times that means nothing. Try the watch and see, seriously.
These Devilles do not look that big on the wrist. I'd say they are rather 40 than 41. There are also 39mm version too, which look even smaller. Check them in person, you might change your mind (or not 😉). I find these sizes very good.

Was in the NYC OB a week or two back and the Deville line has been absolutely killing it. The dial work is truly beautiful on some of these. They get no love, and I guess that’s because the online dress watch world is somewhat non-existent. But, compared to the ATs with color dials, I’d take these on a steel bracelet every time.

The 39mm blue dial models are stunning.
The manual wind watches have the same caliber as the ck859.
