I prefer romans and no lume on dial at all. Keep water away from watch, little chance of dial ageing in years to come. I love mine so much am considering getting a black dial DeVile to go with my silver one.

As you can see, I had the chance to try one one! I really like it, though I'm unsure what the alternatives are around/under this price range (perhaps there is a dress watch I like even more?)

It is a shame why these are not more popular. They remind me of the vintage Omega watches from 50s and 60s.

Hey there!

I've been looking for a nice occasional dress watch, and apart from the Cartier Tank (of which the Large is too small and the XL is too large for me), I came across the modern Deville Prestige collection.

Yes, vintage Omega Devilles exist, but I'm not too fond of the risk of vintage watches nor their sizing (36mm and smaller).

Enter the Modern Omega Deville (De Ville) collection, of which the Prestige versions caught my attention the most.

Some of the ones I'm interested in:

They can be found on Chrono24 between 2k and 2,5k euros.

Does anyone have a watch of this collection? Do you like it, and recommend it? Any experiences, opinions, perhaps alternatives, etc. are very welcome!

Best,
Ruben

I got the last one silver dial in Maplin and Webb AD in July last year at 13% off the £2870 RRP

The dial changes colour in different lighting and the simplistic elegance of the dial won me over

Sure thing;
That watch is realy elegant! Great balance on the dial. May be the first roman dial I have liked.

Something worth mentioning is the prestige line goes back a very long way with minimal changes and there are some 1990s models that are actually really great and modern looking but very cheap like the calibre 861 chronograph models which tend to be around the 1200-1600, quite a steal

Recently acquired this De VILLE Prestige (ref: 424.10.37.20.03.002).

Any recommendations for the strap ? I think I want to Omega OEM but there wasn't much option available at my local AD.

They can order any colour I want but it's hard to make a decision from the Omega website without really the strap accurate colour.

Teddy did a video about this model w/ the 2500 cal, 4 years ago. Have had my eye on it for a while. Do you guys think it's worth it to pay more for the 8810 cal?

Found this on YouTube, but with a white dial. He has a few different looks on wrist in the video too.

I'd love to see them update the line next with a manual, no-date version of the 8800 movement and in a few more size options to bridge the gap between 34mm and 40mm. My wife as a 32.5mm Prestige with the 2500 movement and it's an absolutely gorgeous watch, very in keeping with the heritage of the De Ville line. I'd love a manually wound 37mm model with a modern linen dial.
