    Hey there!

I've been looking for a nice occasional dress watch, and apart from the Cartier Tank (of which the Large is too small and the XL is too large for me), I came across the modern Deville Prestige collection.

Yes, vintage Omega Devilles exist, but I'm not too fond of the risk of vintage watches nor their sizing (36mm and smaller).

Enter the Modern Omega Deville (De Ville) collection, of which the Prestige versions caught my attention the most.

Some of the ones I'm interested in:

They can be found on Chrono24 between 2k and 2,5k euros.

Does anyone have a watch of this collection? Do you like it, and recommend it? Any experiences, opinions, perhaps alternatives, etc. are very welcome!

    Best,
    Ruben

I have the last one pictured with the silver dial (same model as the one posted in the for sale section). Pictures do not capture the beauty of the watch, particularly the shape of the case. The case narrows toward the back, resulting in a bowl-like profile. The lines are really beautiful. The 39.5mm size (and 20mm lugs) is simply perfect for me, modern proportions but not giant. I wear mine on a nato at times as well. The silver dial is very versatile and pairs well with black, brown, tan, or even a blue leather strap. I love Omega Seamasters very much but these modern DeVilles are deserving of much more attention than they are currently receiving from collectors.

Really? I thought that was the most unusual of the bunch! I'm defenitly interested in seeing some wrist shots as well as one with a nato (that must look interesting for sure).

What do you think about the date window? And the fact that it's off-colour?

I have a black De Ville Prestige no date.
I love it. Very classy with an understated Art Deco vibe. My dial has a lovely sunburst finish, which adds great depth. Hard to capture in a photo, but looks lovely in person.
As it’s a dress watch, I only put it on for special occasions, but it’s very comfortable and wears well for its size.

It's an absolutely fantastic watch. If you like the look, size, and price you are going to be very happy. The co-axial 2500D is a wonderful movement (that doesn't get its proper due compared to the 8800 and 8900 versions) that is excellent for a dress watch due to its relative slimness.

I have two of these. A bit mad really. I think they are often price discounted by 20%. I wrote a review on this site which you may have seen. Ownership has been painless so far. Only thing I don’t love is the cheap sounding rotor noise. If I were looking again I think the blue dial gold indices combination is a cracker. The leather strap for the gold cap one is slightly nicer than the black dial variant I have. When ordered the black dial variant w minute track outer wasnt available at dealers. Wish very much there was an araBic numeral version. However have seen a lot of 1940s /1950s with Roman numerals so can live with it. Indices and hands are only gold or rhodium plated - think it deserves solid gold. myself D0A44D9B-6039-4F59-8DA3-7B15CABAB382.jpeg F2EC2D6C-F8A7-426D-9010-6259FA1B19AB.jpeg C70B9BD7-6FDB-4809-BD4E-53AB654B8C30.jpeg

I love this dress design. Got mine I think around 15% discount in July last year at AD. Got reliable movement, keeps great time, great support from watchmaker in boutiques, if insured and worn with discretion not a big headache. Lots of attention to detail in the dial, colour changes in different lighting, great at this modest price point.

This one's a keeper. It has a lot of sentimental value :)

Ooh nice one! I like this much more as I find myself being distracted by the date window on the current (regular?) models

That’s great. Keep it, I am keeping mine.

They do not cost the Earth, not noticeable, remind me of vintage without issues and give no headache.
