I'm getting spooked by this whole conversation. I just looked up Heuer in the dictionary and THAT word is not in there. From now on I'm calling those watches Higher!
Heuer is a name, so you are unlikely to find that in a dictionary, although in southern germany it is also an word that refers to year.

Do you guyz really want me involved in this same old discussion again? 😵‍💫

Autocorrect turns Breitling into Breathing. 😒

NEVER!!!!! 😲🤬

It's deployant, derived from the French word for "folding". Simple as that.
It might be deployant for you but for many others its deployment so there😝

Or you could go with deployant, and choose to support those who make the effort to spell it correctly 😉 😁
it is spelt deployante, for those who really make the effort to spell it correctly. 😁

The main thing I like about them, which people don't seem to mention much, is that they start and remain well-centered on my wrist. Regular leather buckle straps (and standard metal bracelets) tend to ride up to one side.

Now this is for me very much the same experience. Another thing is I like the look of a leather strap better then metal bracelets.
Regards.

Sorry, but this is totally wrong.

You don't club a dead horse, you flog a dead horse.

The implement should therefore be a whip or a cane.

What have I started?

And as for brand, that's not important. Just something that is affordable and not absurdly priced.

From deployment/ant to smelly fish to dead horses. Things are really getting out of hand here.

Oui Monsieur, mais seulement avec un instrument approuvé, certainement pas un club ou un gourdin.

Getting back to the OP's original question, I have purchased two very nice double-fold deployants from Bob Davis (RHD). They run about $40 each for the double-fold and single-fold types. Bob apparently designed and had custom manufactured the ones he is selling to his own specs. Mine have been in use for almost a year and are very comfortable.

You can read more about them at his website. Just google RHD deployant clasp. He's also a very nice guy to deal with.

All the Best.

http://www.mywatchmaker.net/deployantclasp.htm and these are advertised with a replacement life time warranty if the clasp fails to work properly, not bad for $40

@Jungle Jim, consider this fair warning: your screen name is BEGGING for me to install an avatar picture. Considering you've been here for more than 2 years, I should give you one - but if you have put one in place by tomorrow morning I'll let you slide.

I'm hardly ever this magnanimous so don't confuse it with me being nice. 😁

What have I started?

Thread drift. It's not even that bad considering how things can go here.
