Customized Watches

Hi friends

I wanted to ask for leads. We are thinking of producing personalized watches for our organization (as tokens / gifts). I know Seiko has done that before, where an organization can choose one of their models and customize the dial.

Are there other brands that offer this?

Thanks!

Maybe you can check out undone... I think they offer some form of customization.

Timex for sure has this service. Victorinox might as well. A top notch premiums supplier could source these for you. IMO ...unless this is a quality watch, its a waste of money.

Omega has done some in the past. One of the most recent was the #PCA Speedmaster, which was a batch of only 99.

There are some custom dial makers out there, that can make or add to Seiko dials pretty easily. Long Island Watch might be able to help you on this one as they already do alot of Seiko sales, and in house customization.

I would rather receive an un-customized watch from my employer. Just saying'. ::stirthepot::

I'm with you.

Who wants to be reminded of their workplace every time they look at their watch!

Or does the company only want you to wear it during work hours?

Bremont produces some wonderful custom-made watches, but only for military buyers. I don't know your line of work, but they're nice to check out regardless.

Sure, but in terms of long-term value it could be a premium, no? I'd personally never even consider a Dominos Air King or a Heuer Audi Sport, but there's definitely a niche market for those.

Why not just engraved casebacks?
Good point. If only more people appreciate subtlety.

If only...

The good thing with engraved backs is that you may use a good jeweler/engraver, and any watch with a smooth back. Much better than a stamp on a dial imho. I don't know if you would need to take off the back though... this may complicate logistics.

One of my nicer watches is a trophy grade (?) 1983-4 Gold Bulova self winder ( AS Swiss Movement) with the dial printed with tournament runners up PCAA (Pacific Coast Athletic Association).
I got the watch in excellent shape, though the signed band was toast, for a fraction of its value because no one else even bid on it.
I've seen a lot of similar watches going for very little at auction.
I'd not have anything put on the dial, seems that in most cases it lowers the resale value unless you can source a OEM replacement dial before putting it up for sale.
I'd looked around for a replacement dial for this Bulova with no luck, now its sort of grown on me. The dial has a beautiful texture, too bad the logo can't be removed somehow.
