Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility.

I copied and pasted this alert that was on my on my Hamilton tracking. It was due today looks like it will be tomorrow or the next day

I sent a package by international parcel from Vancouver, Canada to France in 10 days. This seems like good news. It could be held up in customs for the next year, but so far so good

Update: Pkg went from Canada to France on Aug 8, cleared customs and was delivered on the 20th. Not bad

Here this is better than a tracking number inside should be a Hamilton it is one day late. I won’t freak out over a day that’s well within my tolerances

I live in Chicago. On 8/2 I dropped off a Priority Mail package headed to Germany at my local post office, it just made it to the O’Hare depot today (8/18). Over 2 weeks to move 20 miles. 😡

I’ve had a number if problems with USPS of late, but none this bad

Well, PMG is backing off on cost cutting- and is about to have his ass handed to him on Friday by those that control the purse...so maybe things will get better 🍿

I’m starting to think this is more regional than national. Envelope with buckles from Chicago to Bal/DC next day....then

This is just cruel.

Technically I can't complain about the speed of the service but I haven't actually received the package. ::facepalm1::

Could have driven there and back on a lunch break....well, a little longer than that.

Been waiting since Sunday for a small 1st Class box from LA area to South Florida. Still “delayed” as per USPS tracking.

Not a watch this time, but still annoying. It’s little things like this that start the slippery slope towards general unrest.

But of course, the current Bozo-in-Charge can’t be bothered. Takes away from his Twitter time.

Political, yes. Interesting, not so much.

Based on other posts I think this is now thin ice, emotions run deep in this political year. Somehow the postal service is now the most critical and important function in the US even though fewer and fewer people use it. Aunt Zelda relies on it for her medication, small businesses need it for paper checks to keep their businesses running (!), Uncle Elmo needs it to correspond with friends and family, and other silliness is now thrown around with abandon in serious tones by the politicians. It's been a mess for decades, it didn't start going wrong four years ago. It's all Ben Franklin's fault, his damn kites and keys, and he being the first guy to run the postal system, he obviously didn't know what he was doing.

Well it’s not my place if the mods don’t want political talk I won’t argue that. The mods set the rules

While not the point of your post, just some information about mail volume is that it has gone down slightly in recent years (all mail to include letters, postcards, etc.) package volume has doubled in the last 10-years from 3-billion to 6-billion pieces. Fewer people send letters since we can email or text much easier, but e-commerce has pretty much everybody shopping online and those packages still need to be physically hand delivered.

My Uncle is a postman and his commentary is that the last few months have been at holiday season levels.

Same thing up here. With so much on line shopping, the volume here of parcels has been above typical Xmas volumes.
