Here's a spread of origin cities for recent purchases
the delivery method used
their order vs delivery dates
and total number of days in transit
(I am using US date format of month/day/year)
*I will edit to add delivery dates as they happen.

Mexico City to US
DHL Express
7/20/20 --- 7/22/20
2-days

Germany to US
Airmail
7/27/20 --- 8/12/20
16-days

UK to US
Airmail
8/2/20 --- 8/12/20
10-days

Canada to US
Standard Post
7/30/20 --- 8/17/20
18-days

Italy to US
Airmail
8/4/20 --- 8/15/20
11-days

Priority Mail is still taking about one extra day over normal for within the continental US. I do notice the delivery update will often show it as arriving a day later than that, but most packages still show up on the 3rd day regardless of origin state.

No shipper is flawless. A FedEx package originally scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday spend Monday through Thursday being tracked at FedEx facilities in various suburbs and going out for delivery twice before it finally showed up on Friday.

For me its sucking big time right now. Like 3 times more wait than normal but it depends on origin.

I don’t even want to think about international, let’s talk domestic.

First, I shipped a package first class from LA to Florida on July 9 and it did not arrive till July 31. A whopping 22 days. I think Pony Express could have done it faster and I wouldn’t bet against Wells Fargo Stage Coach Overland Express.

I’m still awaiting a first class, in name only, shipment from Florida, an Omega NASA Velcro strap, which was shipped out to Los Angeles on July 31, hopefully, it will arrive tomorrow August 17. Kiddos to the USPS as things are apparently moving a hell of a lot faster East to West.

And you’re worried about international delivery.

OK @Walrus and @FreelanceWriter that's enough.

Take a walk in the fresh air or whatever you need to do.

Gator gave fair warning & you don't seem to care. If you don't want to play nice, don't complain when you get kicked out of the playground.

Sorry. Actually, I specifically checked Gator's profile to see whether he's admin here before responding and didn't see anything indicating that he is. I don't ignore or argue with forum admin...your place, your rules.

Yes. I am one of the mods here. Both you and @Walrus really need to move that subject to another forum.

Thanks in advance,

Change of pace. I do appreciate all the postal workers and couriers who work hard to get out toys to us. 👍

Just as a corollary, most of the problems anybody has with any service is not the fault of the person delivering the package.

Actually if you click on the "Members" forum page you will see a top listing for Staff. Click on that and it will give you the whole list.

Well I have a Hamilton on the way tracking simply states in transit due 8/18. I think the last watch was off by a couple days but as long as they arrive I’m ok

When you’ve memorized your tracking number, postal service performance is definitely slower than usual.

Thank you. I missed that, entirely. I simply entered his S/N into the Member Search function and thought the subtitle on his avatar was just his customized play on words. But I did attempt to determine that before responding to the thread again.

Well it is a play on words as well, we did that to him a long time ago 😜

I assume any member with a subtitle is a Mod, correct?

Also, back to the topic, the US delivery is clearly all over the place, I bought an item on eBay from Massachusetts on Friday evening and it's already out for delivery here in Oregon today (the following Monday). Even the tracking says it's "expected" anywhere from this Thursday until the following Wednesday, so it somehow slipped through the cracks in the best way. I'm also starting to wonder how much of this has to do with the receiving post offices and distribution centers since I'm having decent performance to far while others are dealing with one delay after another?

I've ordered five straps separately over May - July period from Switzerland (registered) and each one came in 10 - 14 days to USA. No issues.

Had a member send me a box of goodies from Canada to the US last Wednesday, the box was on my porch today. Bought an eBay item from Lititz, PA (no snickering) to Baltimore- literally a 2 hour drive- took over a week and was routed all over the mid-Atlantic...that tracking was like watching a Pachinko machine.
