CSI on my "first" watch...

... which I bought for the simple pleasure of wearing a watch, not to tell the time.

It was more than 32 years ago and I bought it without a bracelet or strap. I bought it at a jewelry store with watches and other used jewelry, on a main street in Barcelona.

It came without a bracelet and the one that has it I ordered in memory of my grandfather, who always wore one like that.

But let's go to the clock. The truth is that I have not been able to find any dial exactly the same on the internet. Maybe it's a franken, or not. It really doesn't matter much to me, since this particular piece has been my watch for many years (also a young person, 23-24 yo wearing this watch, was striking, in the middle of the digital watches and pop fever (I know, I've been always a vintage man 馃榾))

So, let's see what I think:

Model: ??
Caliber: 531
Serial: 11,952,245
Manufacturing year: 1947 - 1948?
Caseband: ?? Not sure it is Omega ... the lugs are not "constellation" type as I have seen, or could correspond to another model? . Diameter w/o crown 37mm. Lug to lug 45mm. lug width 17,5mm
Caseback: Strangely it has a different serial number ... (10.921.015) could it correspond to another caliber and model? (caseband and caseback coming from another model) What is the other number 2481 that is in the case back?

And now the photos.

Any hint or guess is greatly appreciated.

IMO everything is correct with your watch. Serial numbers of movement and case are always different.
2481 is the "case number" or reference number aka model number.

and DIBS in case you intend to sell it

@mac_omega , thanks for your comments (and offer). I have never sold a watch (yet... I supouse one day I will have to solve this...馃榿)

@gatorcpa , thanks also, but I see some missalignment on the infomration of ck-2481 and my watch:
1) the lugs. The way that the lugs are fixed in the case according with Omega model are not like mine.
2) In the Omega wheb they say that the movement is manual winding 馃槙 馃槙, nevertheless the 351 is automatic... I guess that is a mistake in the omega web???

I noticed the same issues comparing to the Omega site. It has been known to be wrong. I know nothing though.

You are correct and Omega is wrong. Caliber 351 is an automatic movement. I would not pay attention to the case metal. Many case references came in multiple metals (steel, 14K or 18K gold, etc.).

Your watch almost certainly came with a leather strap from the factory. That type of bracelet was very popular in the 1950鈥檚 and likely was purchased later.

Regarding the lugs, it seems that the gold and gold-plated versions of this reference had slightly different lugs than the steel versions (as pictured by Omega). But the casebacks all have 2481 engraved inside.

Gold plated - https://en.omega-vintage.hu/product/omega-2481-1-cal354-auto-1952

Steel - https://secondtimearoundwatchco.com/watches-for-sale/a/a/10442

Dial on steel watch has been poorly refinished.
