ยทHello!
I'll start by say hello to Omega forum members! I started my Omega journey with black dial 300m around 2019.. Then traded for Blue dial Planet Ocean 42mm.. and then traded my perfect blue dial PO for a Creamsickle today! ๐
But I have to say, I'm sooo freakin confused ๐ฉ. When I took this pic at my AD several years ago, I was under the impression the bezel color was like coral red or maybe blood orange as they say. And in 90% of Omega pics I see, it seems like it's coral red color as well
But what I received today in normal indoor light is pumpkin orange bezel insert color. I guess for me, really for me the only reason I fell in love with this watch is my perceived "coral red" bezel color (besides the highly legible white dial.)
I honestly was so shocked when I opened the box that I thought It was a mistake lol. My GF told me the colors make her want to ๐คฎ basically (she was veryyy disappointed in me for trading the blue dial PO which she loved). I spent the last 6hrs of today trying to figure out how I made such a big mistake.
I obsess over details typically. I've bought and sold well over 100 divers on ebay for the past 2 decades. And I've never had this big of a watch blunder. I'm floored with trying to understand why Omega uses blood red orange bezel pics (or I like to say coral red lol) when in reality it's pumpkin red?
I guess I'm just here to make sense of it. And yes, I do understand it isss called a Creamsickle for a reason ๐. This was suppose to be an amazing day for me but turned into disappointment. Thankfully, I have a really good TD and will have the option to send it back. I guess my big question is - did the bezel color change ever so slightly with generations or is this the real color?
Thank you, and apologies for this sounding like a rant. For what it's worth I LOVED my other Seamasters and plan to buy a heritage when they finally add a datewheel..! ๐
