Ah, spoken like true vintage aficionados. OK, apparently the dial is different too.

Just passing along what I've read here 馃槈

I just don't get the Ultraman thing... at all. New, or vintage.

Me too... I thought change something to red and sell it at premium is a rolex thing...

Another teaser, just a continuation of that beam...eventually leading to the watch I would believe.

Idea proposed to me by someone else:

Brosnan Bond's Goldeneye Seamaster laser...

Rhaaa an Ultraman, with the Soyuz it's the Speed I'd love to own...

How much for an Ultraman by the way?

You鈥檙e right 馃憤 Glossy finish instead of matte varnish like traditional Speedmasters. I hope the new Ultraman rerelease doesn鈥檛 use a ceramic dial to imitate the original shiny finish.
My traditional Speedmaster with serial 2607xxxx has a glossy dial too. Are we sure it鈥檚 not just a batch of dials with that finish?

Or it鈥檚 a former Ultraman who got its orange hand replaced on a service or because the owner preferred to have a regular one.

Only one real way to find out: request an Extraction.

Hmmm. Maybe the hand with be red on this edition? That would be a pass from me if it is. Orange I'd consider one. Red not so much. Whatever they do they need to make it really limited (relative to some of the other Speedmaster releases). Make say 1968 of them.

Couldn鈥檛 it man that the waves return on the 300 M and that they are engraved with a laser?
If I had to bet even a dollar right now, to me this is more likely to be the case than the theory from you guys who've made the jump that a red laser beam somehow equals Ultraman. I'm happy to be wrong on this, but the reference to "they are back" ... who exactly do you think "they" are in regards to Ultraman? Not being a jackass, just genuinely curious. On the other hand, we've heard the waves are returning already. The Speedy Basel release is apparently an Apollo 8 watch as confirmed by the brief leak of the content placeholders on the Omega site the other day. So again, I'm happy to be proven wrong, but right now I wouldn't convince myself Ultraman is on the agenda for next week.

Not really. An extract will not mention the orange hand if the Museum hasn't seen the watch with the orange hand on it. The extract in this situation won't help.

Could just be a run of the mill straight lug, tropical gray soleil dial with ultraman hand, and ghost blue don bezel reissue....::rimshot::

I could get on board with the 2915 re-issue, a reasonable alternative for those that love the watch but don鈥檛 have 100k+ to spend sourcing an original. An ultraman re-issue however...surely they can come up with a better idea than that. You can source an actual vintage 145.012 for a similar price to a new Speedy LE, so if the vintage look appeals to why not just get an original

You can? I'm not seeing any. In fact in a quick search the only two I've found were notably more, one being more than double what a new Speedy LE would cost.

Is the red laser in their Facebook / Insta videos connected to Ultraman though?

Boy, what a lazy LE this would be.... just pop an AML / long-index dial and an orange chrono hand on a regular Speedmaster and boom

Who knows, hence the question mark at the end of the title? Pure speculation on my behalf.
