··ΩF InvestiGatorWelcome to the Wonderful World of Omega Service!
They are insisting on redoing the dial because most of their customers are not vintage watch collectors and simply want a functional Omega.
In their minds, that means as new as they can make it. Including dials, crowns and polished cases if need be.
They also warranty the work for 2 years, but to do that, they want total control over the process.
There are many good and honest independent watchmakers in the EU to whom people here can refer you.
I would recommend that you invest an extra €50 to €100 in a new Omega signed crystal and 10-sided crown. A watchmaker with an Omega account should be able to order these from the factory.
The watch will look beautiful and all original when completed.
Good luck.
