·I believe that it would be an 1171-1 bracelet with 633 end links, but could one (or more) of our resident Speedmaster experts confirm wihether or not I'm correct? Thanks!

·There are definitely some 71s that came with a 1039, but it whether this was a dealer switch or not isn't clear.

·Any of these would be period correct 1171, 1175, 1039, 1116, and Holzer. I think the Holzer could be only period-correct if delivered to Mexico. Occasionally the extract does say what bracelet it was sold with.

·I would think 1039/516 , 1116/575, 1171/633 , 1175/640 - all with 71 date stamp.

It (1175) looks good, a bit less rattle, feels secure, and is comfortable. My favorite for 70's bracelets.

·Thanks to all for the replies. Is the 1171/1 a service bracelet? If so, does that significantly devalue the watch if it's otherwise fully original? The watch in question is a 1971 Speedy Pro 145-022. The bracelet has the square logo, not the trapezoid, on the clasp.

·Just as a personal preference, 1039 and 1116 are more age-correct. The 1171 was produced then and has been produced more recently. If you can get hold of one from the old production, that would be correct too. IMHO unlike a more recent 1171.

At any rate, both the 145.022 and 3570.50 have 20mm between lugs, so I think the 1175/640 will fit.
By the way, my 145.022-71 with 1175/640 looks like this.

At any rate, both the 145.022 and 3570.50 have 20mm between lugs, so I think the 1175/640 will fit.
By the way, my 145.022-71 with 1175/640 looks like this.

·So after some searching, I decided to go with the 1175/640. Found a nice authentic one on eBay at a reasonable price with a 1971 date stamp. Definitely more durable than a 1039 and less “tinny” than the 1171. Watch looks great with it!
