Hello guys I have some not so good quality pictures (I asked for more before I proceed to buying this watch) but I would like to know your opinion about the price and generally the condition of case and face of the watch , sadly the crown is wrong and also it has no omega buckle but I am sure I can fix that easily. The price is €570, any help and opinion is welcome!

blurry pictures but case seems polished, dial looks original. Price seems good but better pictures of everything is required. I cant see anything.

I agree with Shabbaz. Dial may be original, but the case looks heavily polished to me. Look at the lugs - it appears that the facets have nearly been polished away. Better photos are needed to properly assess the watch, but my initial reaction is to pass on this one.

OP, here is a photo of my Constellation gold cap which has never been polished. Compare the case and especially the lugs to the watch you’re considering. See the difference?

Well thats so sharp you could cut yourself ...😁
You don’t necessarily need to find an unpolished example. While that is preferable for a collector, there are plenty of lightly polished watches out there that are perfectly acceptable for everyday wear.

It’s priced that way for a reason. If you want a good example of a vintage Constellation, it’s not going to be inexpensive. You might want to look at a dealer site that specializes in vintage Omega watches like The Omega Enthusiast. I’m not endorsing that site or suggesting that you buy there, and his prices are on the high side, but it will give you a better idea of what a good vintage Omega should look like and what you might expect to pay for one. The best place to find a good quality fairly priced vintage Omega watch from a reputable seller is in the private watch sales forum right here on OF. Be patient. Good buys come up frequently.

Remember, his prices are really enthusiastic. Last time I've checked he asked $ 1500 for a seamaster 30, etc.

Yes, agreed. I’m not suggesting that the OP purchase a watch there, but he doesn’t sell junk or redials. I think it’s a good site where a newbie can peruse the inventory to get a better idea of what a nice vintage piece should look like. He also has a number of good educational videos on YouTube that are helpful for beginners.

That really depends what kind of connie. You have so many different ones. Take a step back and start reading first. You can read desmonds blog but we also have some good threads here about connies.

Really depends on the year and model, but VERY generally $1,200 for a real bargain on eBay (and they’re very tough to find) and $1,500 to $1,800 and up would be more typical. Again, I agree with Shabbaz - slow down, study up, and be patient.

This really depends on the model. For example, the C-cases are much cheaper. And what about the 'modern' manhattan models

To the OP. Really, take a step back and find out what kind of connie you want. Make a selection, get yourself familiar with the model and when in doubt ask here.

Good advice.
