Came across this and i was wondering if it looks ok to you knowledgable folks... i am especially interested if those scratches on the case could be buffed out given the fold plating. price is 900 euros. Thank you

Did you check e.g. C24? And: don´t buy w/o a picture of the movement and inside caseback.

no pictures of the movement but a 60 day waranty issued, so ample time to take it to a watch shop

Ok, but still, don't buy without pics from the inside.
Returning a watch is always a pain in the ass.

ah and it is advertised a 168. 0056 that has a 1012 calibre and found some reference towards the fact that a choreographer should have a 1011 ?

Seems like a good reason to ask for the movement Pic. If you think you are buying from a dealer, it shouldn't be a big deal.

A choreographer generally orchestrates movements but not in a watch case 😉

You are correct that a 168.0056 should have a chronometer rated 1011.

However, it could be a simple mistake by the seller.
To settle the confusion - The only way to be sure would be to ask for a picture of the movt.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that case is supposed to have a circularly brush top surface, which is in pretty poor condition. So you would not want to have it polished.

Unfortunately, they are not identical.
One is chronometer rated and the other isn't.
The 1012s appeared in later non-chronometer rated Constellations.

oh will pass, thank you...
Dealers have boat payments to make and sometimes are conveniently forgetful(willfully ignorant?)for some reason.
