Constellation dial

Hello all, new member trying to learn.

I’ve been trying to find a decent Constellation for what feels like forever and just wondered what the thoughts are on this one. It doesn’t pass the MOY test, but that’s about all I can find, though I’m sure I’m missing things. I’ve read the Desmond dial articles, and it’s getting frustrating seeing so many watches that look promising except for MOY being off. Thanks for any help; looking forward to actually having an Omega one of these days…

Is it a 168.018?

I'm very much a newbie and will defer to others with more experience, but it looks to be off-MOY in the same way that all other 168.018s with that particular dial are off-MOY. That would make me think that there's no reason to worry (on the MOY count at least).

I had a similar dilemma with my 168.016. The dial style on the 168.016 with the narrow hour markers (but not the one with the fatter markers) is off-MOY too (but in a different way). Again though, all examples seem to be the same. I asked about it here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-constellation-168-016.36378/

It would be great to compile an exhaustive list of all legitimately off-MOY case-dial combinations!

You are correct, 168.018. Thanks for the info, I’m starting to think this one could be okay. And I agree, a list of off-MOY combinations would be really handy. It’d definitely make me feel better about about dropping money on a watch I’ve never seen.
